News and Events
A Step Above Dance & Music Academy is a joyous and happening place, and there always are a range of things occurring. Some of the chief events of note are listed below: A Step Beyond Dance Company attends Tremaine Dance Convention and Competition!  A Step Beyond Dance Company is our competition team. This past weekend we were at Tremaine and our team did fantastic! We are so proud of all of our dancers. Our results this year prove that hard work, a positive attitude and of course fabulous dancers, teachers and parents produce rewarding results! The final competition results are: Sweet Home Alabama (JR Jazz): 3rd Place Butterflies (JR Ballet): 1st Place Broken Angel (TN Lyrical): 1st Place May It Be (TN Ballet): 1st Place King of Anything (TN Contemporary): 1st Place Go Get It (TN Contemporary): 5th Place 3 Sides 2 Me (SR Jazz): 3rd Place Jealous of the Angels (SR Lyrical): 3rd Place Dreamer (SR Solo): 4th Place On My Way (SR Solo): 2nd Place The final audition results are: Dancers who made it through the ballet round are Meghann Armstrong, Mackinley Dennis, Sophia Finster, Abbie Harrington, Ruby Kleijwegt, Holly Korfmacher, Eliza Kuhlow, Caitlyn Pahmeier, Piper Schmidt, and Shaina Williams! Dancers who made it through the jazz round into the finals are Anna Mishio and Hayley Stoneman! Our dancer Allie Kunesh won a Tremaine scholarship this year! We are so proud of all of our dancers and thought everyone danced spectacular this weekend!! |
