Hailey Schiedermayer
Ballet, Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary, and Musical Theater

Hailey Schiedermayer graduated from the University of Wisconsin Madison with a Bachelor's in Psychology and a Certificaite in Education & Educational Services in May 2018. She is now attending Alverno College's graduate program for School Psychology. She is currently working as a substitute teacher in nearby school districts, as well as working with college students who have disabilities.

Hailey took recreational dance classes as a young child in addition to being an active member of local theater groups, but did not begin her professional training until later, at the age 12. She began by joining her school's Dance Team, and then joined Footworks Dance Company's Competition Team in Kimberly, WI. She has studied ballet, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, modern, hip hop, and musical theater. Due to injuries, Hailey decided to focus her energy less on competing and more on helping younger dancers. She was the Assistant Coach for her hometown's Junior Dance Team (grades 5 through 8) for 4 years, and has been choreographing for large groups ever since. She was also an Assistant Dance Teacher at Footworks Dance Company and worked with children ages 3 to 8 there. While attending UW-Madison, Hailey continued her passion for dance by joining a student organization called Optima Dance and choreographing dances to be performed at a showcase each semester. She was also the head coach for the McFarland Middle School Dance Team.

Hailey has a passion for helping children gain self-confidence and encourages dancers to be the best they can be. She strives for a positive and inclusive environment for students to feel welcome in. Hailey is very excited to be joining the A Step Above team!
