Allyson Stuart
Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, and Contemporary

Allyson began her dance training at the age of 3 years old in her hometown of Long Island, New York. She trained in tap, lyrical, contemporary, jazz, hip hop, and ballet as a member of Oceanside Dance Center's national competition team and has held placements in overall awards as both a group dancer and as a soloist in Lyrical, Contemporary, and Tap. Growing up she attended numerous conventions and spent her summer with the junior training program at New York City's renowned Broadway Dance Center. As a dancer and leader within her studio community, she spent 20+ hours a week in classes and in later years, worked as a substitute teacher in all styles independently teaching children of different ages.

Allyson is currently a senior at the University of Wisconsin-Madison obtaining a degree in Consumer Behavior and Marketplace studies with certificates in Criminal Justice, Entrepreneurship, and Dance: where she studies traditional contemporary and ballet techniques. She recently studied the art of choreography and had the opportunity to perform numerous solos in her course's showcase. Additionally, she continues to maintain her training by taking classes weekly and is looking forward to having this new opportunity to grow as a teacher and choreographer as well. She cannot wait to start this journey with A Step Above!
